Deputy Minister of Finance: Unemployed should pay Br8 million fee
Don’t get involved in unauthorized activities and the state will file no claim, Maksim Yermalovich says.
PM Mihail Myasnikovich suggested imposing a tax on the unemployed in July. There are 445 thousand jobless people in our country and they do not help develop the economy in any way while still making use of social benefits, he said.
The state spends 8 million roubles per person on social services, the Ministry of Finance has calculated. Every working citizen gives the budget 12.5 million roubles a year.
Deputy Minister of Finance Maksim Yermalovich has suggested two ways to tut.by. The first one – unemployed people who do not want to work should pay the full price for medical services, education and communal services. Otherwise, the unemployed may be obliged to pay an 8 million fee to the state. The compensation may become a tax.
"If you do not work and do not want to work while you can, pay 8 million roubles, do not do anything illegal and the state will will lay no claim to you,” tut.by quotes Yermalovich.
