Erdoğan ready to resign if Putin’s words are proved
Turkish President Recep Erdoğan is ready to resign if Vladimir Putin’s words are proved. Turkey buys oil from the Islamic State, the Russian President claimed in Paris. The Russian aircraft brought down by Turkey is only a false front of the operation. “Will you do the same?” Erdoğan addressed Putin at a press conference, meduza.io reports.
The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference was held in Paris yesterday. The Russian and Turkish Presidents attended it. The relations between the two states became really tense after Turkey had taken down a Russian SU-24 at the Syrian-Turkish border killing one of the pilots. Having received no apologies from Erdoğan, Moscow imposed economic sanctions on Turkey. The Russian President did not want to meet with the Turkish leader in Paris. He even gave a press conference.
He has ‘additional information’ proving that Turkey buys oil from terrorist groupings including the Islamic State in Syria, Putin claimed. Turkey refutes it, BBC reports.
