EU asks to resume negotiations in Minsk
Ukraine insists on fulfilling the previous agreements first.
The EU has urged to resume the negotiations of the trilateral contact group of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE in order to settle the conflict in Donets Basin. The council of Ministers of the EU made the statement on November 17, censor.net.ua reports.
However, official Kiev will not sign any new agreements with militants until the previous agreements are fulfilled, the Ukrainian Security and Defence Council announced on November 17. The protocol signed in Minsk on September 5 and the memorandum signed on September 19 are the basis for settling the conflict in Donets Basin, security and Defence Council spokesperson Andrei Lysenko said.
By the way, the EU expressed its desire to expand the list of blacklisted militants and add DPR and LPR militants there. It may happen by the end of November.
