EU may impose severe sanctions on Russia
The EU committee of constant representatives will summon today.
The EU demands from Russia to stop rendering support to the terrorists, withdraw the troops away from the Ukrainian border, use its influence on the militants to conduct the international investigation of the Boeing catastrophe. Otherwise, the EU will limit Russia's access to the capital market, to the weapons market, and expand the "black list". The EU will consider an opportunity to classify the structures of the so-called "militants" in Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine as terrorist organizations.
Yesterday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel urged to impose "significant economic sanctions" on Russia due to the situation in Ukraine. She thinks the sanctions should be introduced "as soon as possible". There is also a suggestion to deprive Russia of the football World Cup-2018. Probably, the new sanctions will be imposed by the end of July.
Russia states it is not going to limit or punish its foreign partners in response to the sanctions against it.
