Exercise in metro to last till September 26
The policemen who check the passengers at "Kastrychnitskaya" metro station have said this.
On September 24, there are still many policemen in Minsk metro - both ordinary and special policemen. They conduct increased checking of the passengers' things at "Kastrychnitskaya" metro station. In particular, Euroradio correspondent was stopped although he carried just a small backpack. During the check-up, the policeman has said the exercise will last till September 26.
Euroradio reminds, on September 23 the unclear situation in Minsk metro nearly caused the whole-city panic. The Yakub Kolas Square station was closed for nearly an hour, many policemen, special policemen and medicinals kept duty at several other metro station. The officials of the Interior Ministry and the Ministry for Emergency Situations kept silence.
The official explanation about the exercise in the metro appeared only in the evening. According to the website of the City Administration of Internal Affairs of Minsk Executive Committee , there was an exercise of the law-enforcement authorities, in the "conditions close to reality".
