Fyaduta: I will write everything I know about Square in my third book
December 19 was the sixth anniversary of Square-2010. Euroradio has interviewed the main participants of those events. Alyaksandr Fyaduta worked in Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu’s team during the election campaign-2010:
“I believe that history must be remembered and known. What will we remember about if we forget the events of six years ago?”
"More than 50 thousand people came to the Square in Minsk for the first time since Chernobyl Way-1996. They all wanted to say that they did not want to live the way the authorities were telling them to.”
"Lukashenka was scared. He remembered how the Belarusian communist party’s power had collapsed.”
"Digging? Why? Are you going to dig a grave? Those events need to be analyzed… All candidates should negotiate and start talking. However, not all of those who were released from prison agreed to talk to one another.”
"I tried reconstructing the events of the last week before the presidential election. I wanted to understand whether the provocation had been connected with our plan.”
"There is headquarters that won’t to discuss anything with anyone. I will not tell you what headquarters it is.”
"The breaking of windows in the House of the Government was a provocation combined with people’s emotions. Some demonstrators decided that it was necessary to act like that.”
"It was really unexpected to see Nyaklayyeu’s itinerary change. I have said enough to make my position clear.”
"I will write the third book of memories. I will write everything I know and think in it.”
