Hanlon quits Team Belarus

Glen Hanlon has quit his Team Belarus job. The Canadian announced his decision at Monday's meeting with Uladzimir Navumaw, chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation (BIHF), citing his "moral and psychological condition," said the BIHF press office.
Last month, Hanlon was sacked as head coach of Dinamo Minsk, the country’s flagship ice hockey club that play in the Continental Hockey League.

Hanlon, a former NHL goaltender, served as head coach of Team Belarus in 2005 and 2006 and rejoined the team in May 2008. He led the national team to top eight finishes at the 2006 and 2009 World Championships.

He was appointed Dinamo Minsk coach in March.
