Ivan Naskevich appointed Chairman of Investigative Committee

Ivan Naskevich Chas been appointed Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Belarus. This decision was taken by Aliaksandr Lukashenka, BelTA reports.

Ivan Naskevich is a native of the village Tsyareblichi of Stolin rayon. He was born there on Freedom Day in 1970. He served in the Soviet army, graduated with distinction from the Ukraine State Academy of Law (1995), he worked as an investigator for particularly important cases of the Prosecutor's Office of the Brest region. From 2007, Naskevich headed the Pinsk district prosecutor's office, from July 2012 he worked as a prosecutor of Brest region. He has two sons and a daughter.

The former head of the Investigative Committee Valyantsin Shayeu was recently transferred to the reserve.
