Jamala moved by Naviband’s Belarusian cover of ‘1944’
Belarus’ Eurovision-2017 representative Naviband has become the first guest of the Ukrainian Eurovision-2017 national selection tour in Kiev. Kseniya Zhuk and Artsyom Lukyanenka sang their contest song Story of My Life and also sang 1944 in Belarusian (Jamala won Eurovision-2016 with it). The song was translated by Mikita Naidzyonau.
The Belarusian cover of 1944 moved Jamala a lot. The Ukrainian star (she is a jury member together with Danilka and Konstantin Meladze) supported Naviband’s contest song. Konstantin Meladze has promised to vote for the Belarusian duet at Eurovision-2017.
Eurovision-2017 will be held in Kiev on May 9-13. Naviband will sing in the second semi-final on May 11.
