Kamianica Festival Day One: "Siabrouskaja Viacera" + Shuma (slideshow)
The folk festival kicked off with a VIP-party that gathered participants from the past five years, partners, journalists and the most loyal folk fans.
"Siabrouskaja viacera" opened the fifth festival of folk rock music Kamianica, while the launch also included welcome words from the organizers, the screening of the History of Belarusian Cuisine Part One film and the tasting of Belarusian dishes.
The list of guest artists included Aleh Khamenka, duet АAliaksandra i Kanstancin, Irena Katvickaja, bands Guda i Shuma.
Shuma played its full live set for the first time and totally charmed the public with a rather progressive interpretation of folk music.
"We were pleased to perform at an open-air stage. On the next day we had a small gig in a club. We got convinced once again that Šuma is a festival band. In order to open up completely, we feel we need space and the quality of sound," says band frontwoman Rusia and invites fans to Koktebel Jazz Festival, where Shuma will open "a magic morning" on September 15.
