KGB releases Catholic priest Lazar
There is no reason to keep Uladzislau Lazar in KGB prison anymore.
The Apostle Nunciature in Belarus Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti reported it referring to information presented by competent authorities.
Nevertheless, the investigation continues. The priest will have to spend the time at a permanent address. He will have freedom to travel and act, the website of the Roman Catholic Church in Belarus reports. Priest Lazar will have to register in the local police department every day.

A Catholic spy was detained in Belarus, Alyaksandr Lukashenka announced on July 26. Catholic priest Uladzislau Lazar, Barysau vicar from the Holy Spirit Church was detained. Priest Lazar is accused of participation in espionage.
