Kharkiv separatists want referendum too
Member of ‘the Coordination Council’ of South East Ukraine Yuri Opuhtin announced it at a pro-Russia meeting in Kharkiv on May 18.
''Our task is to boycott the election at all costs. We must gather in this square on May 25… We do not recognize this election,” Opuhtin claimed.
“Kharkiv will also conduct a referendum like Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts did,” Opuhtin promised.
Activists of the movements South East, Struggle and the Communist Party took part in the action.
Many action participants had brought Russian tricolours and LDPR flags with them, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
