Large families left without accommodation in Hrodna
About a hundred large families cannot move in the new flats they were supposed to receive in Hrodna in August 2015. Officials are refusing to explain why their obligations have not been fulfilled, Radio Racija reports. About 1000 people including large families and other categories of people entitled to discounts had to settle in three blocks of flats in Alshanka microdistrict. However, the City Executive Committee is refusing to provide people with the accommodation guaranteed by the state.
The problems may be explained by economic issues, Hrodna inhabitant Iryna Panasik thinks. Officials have claimed that they lack financing, she said.
The newly-built flats may be sold at commercial prices now, Hrodna large families think.
