Large-scale national poll expected before presidential election
BSU Centre for Social and Political Studies director David Rotman says a large-scale opinion survey is to be conducted before the presidential polls.
Belarus will conduct a large-scale sociological survey before the presidential election, director of the BSU Centre for Social and Political Studies David Rotman said. According to him, ‘this work is essential as impartial and precise information is needed’, BelaPAN reports.
At least three mass sociological surveys are usually conducted in the year of presidential elections, the sociologist noted. The size of inhabited localities selected randomly is taken into account. The streets, houses and people are also elected randomly. There should be at least five random selection factors, the scientist noted.
The surveys are conducted 6 and 2 months and two weeks before the election. Exit-polls will be organized on the Election Day, Rotman hopes. The surveys will be conducted by three or four different organizations, he said.
The results will be published in mass media and sent to Embassies, the sociologist promised.
