Leader of Gods Tower to take part in local elections
Leslie Knife has become a Homel Province candidate’s authorized person.
Leslie Knife, front man of the Belarusian metal legend Gods Tower, has become Ihar Sluchak’s authorized person for the local elections in Homel Province.
“It is a symbolic action for me,” the musician explained. “I am not going to take part in the election campaign. I see no sense in doing politics in this country at the moment. It will not bring you anywhere. I agreed to join Ihar Sluchak’s team because I respect him a lot. It is an honour for me.”
Despite having some experience in politics, the musician considers himself “a major of the sofa army”. He even supports the idea of boycotting the elections. “They will present some unrealistic numbers to us and tell us that we have lost anyway. There is no sense in it. There are many other things to dedicate your spare time to.”
The local elections will be held in Belarus on March 23.
