Lithuanian President is discharged from hospital
The Lithuanian President, an 81-year-old Valdas Adamkus, was discharged from Vilnius university hospital on Saturday, informs Lenta.ru.
Adamkus was taken to hospital because of arrhythmia on Wednesday. He was supposed to be discharged after a medical check-up on Friday but doctors decided to implant a cardiostimulator in Adamkus. The operation was conducted on Friday.
It is reported that Adamkus feels fine but doctors have advised him that he should avoid stressful situations and physical activities. The President went back to work after the operation on Friday.
