Lukashenka to beat Nazarbayev's record in 1,549 days

Nursultan Nazarbayev had been heading Kazakhstan since April 24, 1990. It is almost 29 years (before December 16, 1991, he was President of the Kazakh SSR). Before his voluntary resignation on March 19, 2019, Nazarbayev was the chief political longliver among the leaders of the former Soviet countries.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has been heading Belarus since July 20, 1994. This year marks 25 years since he came to power. Lukashenka will beat Nazarbayev's record on June 15, 2023, that is, in 4 years, 2 months and 27 days.
