Lukashenka: Belarus is ‘natural ally’ for BRICS
“We have no conflicts on our territory and do not cause problems to our neighbours,” the Belarusian leader said.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka thinks that Belarus is ‘a natural ally’ for BRICS, the Belarusian President claimed at the summit of the organization leaders in UFA on July 9. Belarus welcomes the openness of BRICS and is ready to cooperate as a friendly state, BelaPAN reports.
Our country is a reliable and predictable partner, the Belarusian leader stressed. “We have no conflicts on our territory and do not cause problems to our neighbours. We preserve safety at the borders and prevent drug trafficking and illegal migration. Our foreign policy is peace-loving,” Lukashenka noted.
BRICS consists of five member states – Brazil, Russia, India, China and the Republic of South Africa. The summit of the organization and the summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization are simultaneously held in UFA, Russia.
