Lukashenka: entrepreneurs ask to stop all tax reforms

On February 16, Alyaksandr Lukashenka held a meeting on tax policy.

He said that, currently, Belarus authorities is not in the position to offer tax breaks in the same volume as before. "If at some point before we were able to provide similar tax breaks, now things have changed. We probably should give up on the individual cuts at all," BELTA quotes the head of state.

However, Lukashenka believes that the tax benefits can be retained for priority fields. We are talking about the fields that can be "of interest to the state in terms of creating conditions for the effective development and, of course, to receive benefits".

At the same time, the Belarusian leader said that frequent change of tax rates is unacceptable. "To be honest, it might be worth adjusting them once and then later work quietly for a few years?" BELTA quotes Lukashenka.

Lukashenka noted the progress in the reform of the tax industry. But he said that entrepreneurs are already asking to stop all sorts of tax reforms, as they need stability.
