Lukashenka says Eastern Partnership is good for Belarus
The Belarusian leader has described as advantageous Belarus' membership in EU's Eastern Partnership program. He also welcomed the results of the European Union's summit in Prague on May 7. According to Lukashenka, Belarus expects economic advantages from the Eastern Partnership deal. He reminded that Belarus sells half of export products to the EU. Now, Belarus will seek to fight for a free trade zone in the European Union.
The Interfax news agency reports that Lukashenka also thinks that it is prospective for Belarus to participate in the construction of the Baltic-Black Sea transport corridor. Nearly 1 billion euro are expected to be spent for this project by the European Union.
