Lyabedzka and Ramanchuk want to persuade Baranavichy policemen

Policemen detained the leaders of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka and Yaraslau Ramanchuk in Baranavichy market on September 7. They spent 1.5 hours in the office of the market administration. UCP leaders were distributing leaflets for entrepreneurs. BNF leaders and BCD representatives were also distributing their leaflets there. However, Mr. Lyabedzka says that policemen paid most attention to them:
Lyabedzka: “The policemen took a notice of us for some reason. They studied the contents of the information material for a long time and read leaflets for entrepreneurs that contained our position in connection with the current satiation and a certain suggestion.  We were explained that the detention was caused by the fact that they were conducting an expertise of the contents. However, this is not the responsibility of the police”.

The deputy head of Baranavichy police pronounced a verbal warning to the detained. The UCP leaders asked him to organize a meeting of Ramanchuk with local policemen in the future. They said the party had something to offer them too.

On the whole, 6 people got detained while distributing leaflets in Minsk, Hrodna and Baranavichy.
