Medieaval culture and traditions fest in Kamianets
A two-day festival of mediaeval culture and traditions opened on June 27 in the town of Kamianets, Brest region. The Belapan news agency reports that nearly 30 knight clubs from across Belarus, including two from Moscow, are taking part. They reconstruct the mediaeval weaponry, traditions and events. Dance groups will present the mediaeval music and dances. Almost 300 people are taking part in the event.
The fest is taking place near the Kamianets Tower, the only remaining 13th century heritage in Belarus. The program includes among others a knight tournament, a storm of the castle, and a concert of mediaeval music and dances and several contests.
