On Twitter: MFA replies to Carl Bildt about Belarus' future
Sweden's ex-foreign minister and Belarusian foreign ministry exchange ironic tweets about Belarus' geopolitical choices.
Swedish ex-Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt is visiting Minsk now. He has posted a photo that seems to have been taken from a window in the Hotel Europe on Twitter. He wrote:
“Where does Belarus really wants to go? Trying to find answers in meetings here in Minsk. Not an easy situation.”
The Belarusian MFA replied to the Swedish politician: “Crossing of Lenin st. & International st., picture taken from Hotel Europa on Liberty square. Speaks for itself, kind of.”
The Swedish ex-Minister for Foreign Affairs is paying a one-day visit to Minsk. Carl Bildt is a member of the delegation of experts of of the European Council on Foreign Relations.
