Belarusian MFA continue talks with the EU over the facilitation of the visa regime, Deputy Foreign Minister Aleh Krauchanka told reporters at the international conference "European Union and Eastern Partnership: approaches to regional cooperation."
When asked about the date of signing, Krauchanka said the negotiations were not over yet.
"Quite frankly, It is hard to say when... The negotiation process depends on all the stakeholders, including on the views of all 28 EU member states - not only the opinion of the European Commission or the European External Action Service," Krauchanka said.
Belarus Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei said on 24 November in Brussels that one technical and one political hurdles prevented the sides from signing the deal. Krauchanka did not elaborate what exactly the problems Makei had in mind on the pretext that the talks were not over yet.
