Ministry of Justice fears trade unions strike fund

The Ministry of Justice warned the Free Trade Union of Metal Workers, that their association was likely to have problems due to creating a solidarity fund. Let us remind you, that the Council of the Free Trade Union of Metal Workers decided to create a fund of financial support for strikers. Such initiative was suggested by the entity of the trade union at Baran plant "Lios", located in Vorsha district, as it was informed by the European Radio for Belarus.
The Ministry of Justice reminded the trade union that it was not legal to organize strikes without warning measures.

The initiator of creating of the fund Vasil Leuchankau informed the European Radio for Belarus that it was not a warning from the Ministry of Justice, but jus an advice.

Leuchankau: “We will not comment on that until we receive official letter”.
