Minsk police award girl who reported possible metro terrorist
The student spotted a man in a metro car typing a terrorist message on his cell phone.
She informed the police about the message she had seen in the metro on February 26. The metro was closed, people were evacuated and the police spent 3 hours checking all the stations. Nothing was found. The man was detained soon afterwards. He explained his actions by "a wish to joke".
Minsk police press service told Euroradio:
“The girl who had noticed the SMS and told the police about it was awarded on the Police Day. The Minsk police chief expressed gratitude for her actions and awarded her.”
The culprit, a 35-year-old inhabitant of Mink Province born in Karaganda, was sent to a forensic psychiatric examination last week.
