"Miss Kupalinka": I would have accepted Miss Minsk crown

It is still unknown whether the Miss Minsk beauty contest results were reconsidered. The STV TV-channel gives no comments, the same as the Minsk city executive committee.

Euroradio has decided to find out whether there have been any negotiations with the Vice-Misses, as they will be the ones to get the crown if the positive decision is taken.

No one suggested the crown to the first Vice-Miss Katsiaryna Skalaban. She knows nothing about the reconsideration of the contest's results either.

"I cannot say anything as I simply don't know. They talked about it recently but I know nothing on what they decided or what they discussed in particular."

"Miss Minsk Kupalinka" Palina Batrakova tells Euroradio thatthe organizers have not contacted her:

"We didn't even know there would be no broadcasting and waited for it. No one knows anything."

The STV TV-channel did not broadcast the "Miss Minsk 2013" beauty contest.

However, Palina Batrakova says, she would have accepted the crown if someone offered it to her. Still, she has a negative attitude to the scandal itself.

"Naturally, I would have accepted it. However, this is for the jury to decide. They will take this uneasy decision together with the organizers. If they offered me the crown, I would have accepted it. This is not fair that such scandal occurred. i think they should not take the crown away from Yana."

Officials of the Ideology, Culture and Youth Department of Minsk City Executive Committee do not answer the question whether the Miss Minsk 2013 beauty contest's results have been reconsidered:

"Am I a jury member? Call some other organization. This question is beyond my competence."

The STV TV-channel's spokesman says he will give no comments in response to the question who had the Miss Minsk title now.
