Monument to Chernobyl liquidators to appear in Zhodzina

A monument to liquidators will be installed in Zhodzina before the 25th anniversary of the catastrophe at Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A civil association “Union-Chernobyl-Belarus” registered in Kiev has already informed Zhodzina City Executive Committee about the initiative. BelaPAN informs that the city council has supported the idea and the head of the City Executive Committee Mihail Amelyanchuk has approved the monument too.

The monument is supposed to be installed on the territory of St. Archangel Mihail Church.
