The festival of modern Belarusian culture, Minsk x Minga, will be held for the first time next week in Munich. The idea of the festival was to tell the people of Bavaria about Belarus and show "a free Belarus that continues to live despite repression," say the organizers, the Belarusian public cultural association RAZAM e.V.

The festival program includes concerts, cinema and theater shows. There will be the performance of Marharyta Liauchuk, Palina Respublika and Krywi, movies of Aliaksei Paluyan and Andrei Kutsila, a theatrical performance of Ihar Shuhaleyeu about tortures in Belarusian prisons, an exhibition of portraits of political prisoners by artist Ksisha Anhelava, DJ set of Papa Bo. There will also be a panel discussion on the current situation in Belarusian culture and society. It will be attended by politicians and public figures from Belarus and Germany.

The festival will take place from September 9 to 11.
