National Bank: $200 million in cash will be in Belarus on Monday
A huge amount of cash dollars was brought in on December 23.
Nearly $200 million will arrive in Belarus in the next seceral days, reports BELTA quoting the chairperson of National Bank Nadzeya Yermakova.
Yermakova promised there would no shortage of foreign currency in exchange offices. On December 23, a huge amount of cash dollars was brought into the country. Moreover, additional $200 million will arrive in Belarus on December 29. Yermakova said dollars are in a greater demand than euros in Belarus.
The National Bank chairperson said the situation in the currency market will get stable after the buy rate was raised. The current difference between the buy and sell rate is around Br700-800.
