New administration head pledges to build a theater in Slonim
The authorities in Slonim, Hrodna region will begin the construction of a theater, district administration head Josef Paulyukevich said in a statement. The local newspaper Gazeta Slonimskaya writes that in January 2010 the Slonim Drama Theater will celebrate its 20th anniversary. A theater existed in Slonim as far back as in the 18th century. Currently, it is based at the local culture center.
