New Life protestant church continues battle for prayers house
The Minsk-based protestant church New Life has appealed Justice Ala Miroshnik's October 7 verdict which ruled that protestants should vacate their building on Kovalev Street 72. Belapan news agency reported that the complaint points to the court's non-legit decision, because the parish has not received any decent compensation from the state for the church's building that could be sufficient to erect a new church. If this decision of the court is uphold, over 1000 parishioners will be left with no possibility to gather for prayers. This is a violation of human rights, including the freedom of consciousness, according to the complaint.
