Obama urges Putin to pull out Russian troops from Ukraine
The two Presidents have had a conversation on the phone.
U.S. President Barack Obama has urged Vladimir Putin to pull out Russian troops from Ukraine. Obama and Putin discussed the conflict in Ukraine on the phone.
"President Obama confirmed that Russia had to fulfil its commitments and stick to Minsk agreements and pull out its troops and military equipment from Ukraine,” RIA Novosti reports.
Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Russian deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Yegor Karasin will contact one another soon, the Presidents agreed. They will discuss the realisation of Minsk agreements.
The conversation of the Russian and American Presidents was initiated by Russia.
