The Offspring and Hurts secretly come to Stalin Line near Minsk
They performed at a private party thrown by the Belarusian company that created the popular game "World of Tanks".
The company celebrated its 15th anniversary. According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, it was a pompous party. $300 000 was spent just for the banquet.
The corporate party took place at the "Stalin Line" complex. The company rented the whole place, including the tanks, twin-hull boats and quadracycles, which were available non-stop. In addition to that, they organized a series of mini-shows, like performances of archers and knights, fire shows etc. According tot he newspaper, about $150 000 was spent on this.
The famous Russian band "Bi-2" were a support act, while the Offspring and Hurts were the headliners of the party. Musical experts think that the organizers paid no less that $ 100 000 to each band. Besides, none of the bands included the "Stalin Line" concert into their official concert schedules. Only a day after, a picture of Hurts vocalist at the background of a tent which was a make-up room was posted on the band's Facebook page, signed as "Somewhere above the rainbow... (Minsk)".
The party ended with a laser show and fireworks, bu the climax of the lavish bash was the performance by the aerobatics group "Rus" that flew from the Russian city of Vyazma. Five jets did pirouettes in the sky over the "Stalin Line" for half an hour.
