Opposition activists get 5 days of arrest for white-red-white flag
Minsk's Partizanski District Court rules to sentence three members of Alternativa civil campaign to five days of arrest.
Aleh Korban, Zmitser Silchanka and Aleh Keral stood trial on July 29. The activists hanged out white-red-white flags on the bridge crossing Partizanski Avenue near Belarus department store on July 26. The action was dated to mark the 23rd anniversary of Belarus' state sovereignty declaration. However, the activists were detained several minutes later. They waited for the trial in Akrestsina Street prison.
Korban, Silchanka and Keral were arrested for 5 days for petty hooliganism. They were accused of public swearing and waving hands.
