Parliamentary elections to be held no later than September 11 next year
The next parliamentary elections in Belarus will take place no later than 11 September 2016. This date was announced by Chair of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna.
"Elections will be held not later than one month before the expiration of the mandate of the current parliament. The first session of the House of Representatives of the current convocation was held on 18 October 2012. Thus, elections should be held no later than September 17. The last Sunday for elections is September 11th. Parliamentary elections will be scheduled no later than June 10," BelaPAN quoted the official.
Yarmoshyna also said that there is official information about the amount to be allocated for the parliamentary elections - 196 billion rubles.
In addition, there has already been determined the average number of voters in the districts - 63,700 people. This figure can be adjusted upwards or downwards by 10%.
