Parliamentary elections take place in Moldova
Elections of deputies of the Parliament are taking place in Moldova today. The country has a one-chamber parliament elected with the help of party tickets.
There are 17 rivals on the list of contenders today – 12 parties and 5 independent candidates, informs “Interfax”.
The new parliament will elect the president and form the government after the elections. The presidency of Vladimir Voronin will be over on April 7. He cannot run for the president anymore because he has already been elected twice.
