A photo of Belarusian paratroopers fighting for Ukraine has emerged online. They are part of the 1st separate airborne assault company. This unit operates within the airborne assault troops of Ukraine. Earlier it was reported by Valery Sakhashchyk, head of the Department of National Security, a representative of the Joint Transitional Cabinet of Belarus on defense and security issues. The current report emphasizes that the unit was created on Sakhashchyk's initiative "by officers of the Armed Forces and special units, patriots of a free, democratic Belarus".
The Belarusian company "has been carrying out combat missions in one of the most difficult front sectors in southeastern Ukraine for the second month, gaining combat experience necessary for the creation of a new, high-tech and highly effective Belarusian army".
Company representatives addressed the Belarusian army personnel in Belarus and the Russians stationed in Belarus. "We will soon invite you to leave the territory of the Republic of Belarus and return to Russia, and when that moment comes, it will be in your interest to do so voluntarily," the appeal to the Russian military said.
"We, the soldiers, have taken an oath to guarantee the safety of our people, to protect them from the enemies who shed the blood of Belarusians and deprive them of their freedom," the Belarusian paratroopers say.
Accidentally or not, a message on behalf of the 1st separate paratrooper assault company appeared after an interview with the commander of the Kalinouski regiment, Dzianis Prokharau (Kit). In it he spoke critically about the project and about Sakhashchyk.
