Police in Miadzel looking for illicit distiller
Traffic police officers detained a resident of the village Dzigili in Miadzel district, who was carrying 150 liters of home brew in his vehicle on the Lepel-Miadzel highway.
Police are planning an operation to locate the illicit distillery.
According to the chief of the Midzel traffic police, Andrej Charnajuski, the same man had already been detained with 140 liters of home brew one week back.
The home-made vodka was destroyed, while the detainee had to pay Br930,000 in fines. He is facing a fine again, but it will be increased twofold at this time.
The local police authorities are going to comb the woods, where they suspect an underground brewery could be located, reports our correspondent Zmicier Paniamonau
