Police raid apartments of Malady Front activists
The police in Minsk today raided the apartments of the activists with the international youth organization Malady Front. The Belapan news agency reports that on March 25 five police officers entered the apartment of Dzianis Karnou, a youth activist. At that moment, Vadzim Khanyauka and Illya Shyl were also inside the apartment.
The policemen said they were called by a neighbor who allegedly said that a fight was taking place in the apartment. They inspected the apartment but did not seize anything, as no agitation materials could be found inside. The police left having found nothing.
After the visit of the police, D. Karnou found out that a banknote of 100 euros that was lying on the fridge was missing. On March 26 the young man is going to file a complaint to the office of the prosecutor and the police department.
The police also raided the apartment of Mikalai Dzemidzenka and Valer Matskevich. A flag of For Freedom movement was confiscated.
