Poroshenko: Russia does not stick to Minsk agreements
Sanctions need to be enhanced due to the violation of Minsk agreements, the Ukrainian President said.
Petro Poroshenko gave an interview to Bildt at the beginning of his visit to Berlin. Minsk agreements do not work because Russia is violating them, the Ukrainian President said.
"Russians keep shooting every day. It often happens more than 60 times a day – the ceasefire has already been violated 1100 times,” UNIAN quotes Poroshenko. Ukraine has fulfilled ‘every Minsk agreement’, he added.
The Ukrainian President has urged to enhance sanctions in response to the violation of Minsk agreements. The EU sanctions should be prolonged until the end of the year, Poroshenko thinks. He has also urged to boycott the 2018 FIFA World Cup that will be held in Russia.
