Unidentified offenders on Sunday evening threw potatoes at the building of the Belarus embassy in Vilnius. On that day, around 1300 people were detained in Belarus. The Lithuanian police are investigating the incident, reports the police's press office.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack. In the past three months, hundreds of Belarusians, including protesters, have fled Belarus to Lithuania. Nearly 50 people have applied for political asylum.
