Prisoners to saw uniform for young Belarusian hockey players

Prisoners will saw uniform for young Belarusian hockey players, Alyaksandr Lukashenka announced at the Olympic meeting in Minsk on May 30. He already said that it was necessary to solve the equipment problems earlier. The President recalled a conversation with the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihar Shunevich. The latter suggested sawing hockey uniform in prisons. Lukashenka liked the idea. Shunevich promised that prisoners would learn to make ice hockey skates.

“Money will stay in the country and it will be dirt cheap,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka said.
