Producer of Avel to decide whether to go to court
The film script has been made public but Syarhei Zhdanovich is refusing to say whether it is the real script or a fake.
The owner of the company Nonstop MEDIA and producer of the notorious film Avel told Euroradio about it.
Syarhei Zhdanovich: “Speaking about the things published on the Internet (the script of Avel – Euroradio’s note), I will need to consult my colleagues before we decide what to do. Tarantino would sue them and demand a compensation of $1 million for it.”
However, Syarhei Zhdanovich refused to say what had been done (the real script stolen or a fake distributed on the Internet): “I am not going to comment on it.”
The producer refused to give an interview to Euroradio explaining it by the fact that it was necessary to shoot the film and watch it first before discussing something. He also reminded that the mob scenes shot in Minsk October Square and near the House of the Government were not a reconstruction of the Dec.19, 2010 events.
A full script of Avel was published on the website of Charter’97 on February 2. The film shows a powerful international organization trying to save the world with the help of the Belarusian President’s security service.
