Pupil suspected of attacking teacher to undergo medical expertise
Ninth-former D. suspected of attacking a teacher of Russian with a knife has been sent to a psychiatric expertise, official spokesperson of the Investigation Committee Yuliya Hancharova said:
"The suspect has been sent to a complex psychiatric expertise. Experts and doctors are working with him. The expertise will help find out whether the teenager understood the consequences of his deed and whether he could control himself.”
A genetic expertise of the knife found near the school will also be conducted.
"We cannot answer whether this is the crime instrument until we get the expertise results,” Yulia Hancharova summed up.
The incident occurred at Minsk grammar school #74. 16-year-old D. is suspected of having stabbed a teacher with a knife. The woman was delivered to the intensive care unit. Her condition is stable now. D.’s classmates, teacher and coach have characterized the teenager in a positive way.
