Pushylin: Negotiations in Minsk to start at 3 p.m. today (video)
The contact group will gather in the Belarusian capital to discuss the situation in Donets Basin again.
The meeting of the contact group will start at 3 p.m. on December 24.С, one of the leaders of the self-declared ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ Denis Pushylin said.
The exchange of captives, removal of military equipment from the front line and the cancellation of the economic blockade of Donets Basin as well as the territory’s special status will be discussed, RIA Novosti refers to him.
The agreement to meet on December 24 and 26 was reached after a phone conversation of the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France. The leaders of the self-declared ‘DPR’ and ‘LPR’ are complaining that they have not received official invitations. They have arrived in Belarus without them.
The negotiations in Minsk will be closed for journalists. It has been initiated by the contact group members, head of the Belarusian MFA press service Dzmitry Mironchyk told Euroradio.
