Pushilin: No Minsk talks about Donets Basin to be held on December 12
The new date of the meeting of the trilateral contact group is yet to be set.
There will be no negotiations in Minsk on Friday and a new date has not been appointed, representative of the self-declared ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ Denis Pushylin announced on Thursday. The conference on Skype was cancelled a few minutes before the appointed time on Wednesday, he said.
"We would like to settle the conflict peacefully so we will wait for an agreement with Ukraine. There is no sense to come to Minsk for a video conference,” RIA Novosti quotes Pushylin.
The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council has announced that it has no information about the meeting of the trilateral group at the moment.
Official Kiev and the self-declared republics are supposed to discuss the exchange of captives and ‘a ceasefire agreement’ in east Ukraine at the meeting in Minsk. Furthermore, ‘DPR’ representatives want Ukraine to cancel the economic blockade of Donets Basin.
