Alena Lanskaya to represent Belarus at "Eurovision" song contest
Her euro-pop style song "Rhythm of love" got the majority of votes of the TV-viewers and the jury.
"My goal was to show what I can do. I am grateful to you for liking it and for your support. We are going to Sweden!!!" - this is how the singer reacted to the victory, expected by many people.
Apart from the pass to "Eurovision", Alena Lanskaya got a special prize from the Belarusian State TV and Radio Company - a "Eurovision" heart, made of glass. Henadz Davydzka handed it to her, and said that only strong performers got to the final this year:
"There were no moderate performances, everyone was just wonderful. I would like to congratulate a very pure, hardworking, real artist on victory! You deserve this heart".
The band Nuteki got to the second place, and the song of fighter and artist Stas Satsura - to the third.
10 artists participated in the 10th jubilee final of the Belarusian national audition for the "Eurovision-2013". 10 English-language compositions of various genres were presented to the public. It is worth mentioning that this years' participants paid much attention to the show elements, forgetting about the quality of the song itself. However, the special effects were quite predictable - only Nuteki were a surprise with their silver beast on longshanks, and singer Yuzari, who appeared with enlarged artificial ears. Jury member Uladzimir Kubyshkin also made the people smile - he came to the contest wearing a T-shirt which promoted a contestant Vital Varanko.
Besides, this was the first Belarusian national audition for "Eurovision" with such an expanded jury squad: from producers and journalists to conductors and officials. Among them there were Uladzimir Maksimkau, Mariana Malchyk, Uladzimir Kubyshkin, Victoria Papova, Alyaksandr Myazhenny, Larysa Murashka, Uladzimir Uholnik, Andrei Khaladzinski and others.
This will be the second attempt of Lanskaya's participation in the "Eurovision". Last year, the singer was elected as "Eurofest" winner but the voting results appeared to be fake. Litesound represented Belarus in Baku in the end.
The "Eurovision-2013" will take place in Malmö, Sweden.
