BelaPAN crew detained in Minsk
The journalists were conducting the weekly public opinion poll near the National Academy of Sciences.
They were detained at about
3 p.m. The journalists were asking the citizens on whom they are ready to
support financially - the government or the opposition. The police detained
correspondent Hanna Afonina, and
camera men Syarhei Satsyuk and Vasil Syamashka.
"The journalists are detained for personal identification. They were
conducting a traditional public opinion poll near the cinema "Kastrychnik"",
- say representatives of the news agency's editor's office.
The crew is in the Pershamayski district police department now.
