Belarusian MFA report: American politician's gender confused
The mistake can be found in the English variant of the report "Human Rights Violations in Certain Countries in 2012".
The American magazine Foreign Policy has paid attention to the mistake. The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote about Gill Stein, a U.S. candidate from the Green Party who has been arrested for participation in street action many times, as if she were male.
Euroradio checked the information and it turned out to be true: Gill Stein is mentioned as if she were male in the English version of the report:
"G. Stein, a candidate from the Green Party, has on several occasions during the electoral campaign been subjected to administrative arrest, owing to his participation in peace protests".
This mistake is not present in the Russian version of the document.
